Building codes vary from city to city - check with yours before starting your project.
Because a SouthernShade Solutions shade canopy is a permanent structure, some cities may require you to get a permit, depending on the size of the canopy you are installing. You will also need to call your local utility companies before digging for location of possible underground gas, electrical, and water lines in the area of installation.
